Loddon Auctions is a specialist auctioneer in the sale of cigarette cards, trade cards, postcards, sport memorabilia, stamps, coins, beer labels and all manner of other paper collectables and ephemera.
We aim to provide an excellent service individually tailored to meet the needs of both buyers and sellers.
We offer a friendly and approachable service and have a large contact list of established customers ready to purchase the material on offer. We hold 7-8 auctions annually, are located just South of Reading, Berkshire.
September 2026 - Julian Dunn sale
We are pleased to announce the latest, and final, instalment of the late Julian Dunn Postcard and Epehemera collection.
We will again be offering this sale with LIVE public attendance, to be held on Wednesday 2nd September 2026, at the Royal British Legion Club, Eversley Road, Arborfield. RG2 9PR.
There is ample parking onsite and refreshments will be available
In advance viewing of the Lots prior to the sale day is now available by appointment; viewing on the day will be from 9am, with the sale starting at 10am.
August 2026 Sale
The live action for our June 2025 auction is now complete...
All of the Lots have been picked, packed and invoices issued, mostly by email.
If you have not yet received an invoice please check your 'spam' or junk email folders before getting in touch with the office.
If you would like to collect your Lots in person or arrange for a courier to do this on your behalf, then please contact the office by email as soon as possible.
Remember: For our Live auctions Internet Bidding via Loddon Live is at a reduced premium when compared to the-saleroom.com!!
Loddon Live
Based upon technology from our long-term online auction provider, www.the-saleroom.com, you will now be able to place both live and pre-Sale bids through our site.
This will be at the reduced Internet rate of 3% for a total commission of 23%, as opposed to 4.95% (total 24.95%) when placing bids via
the-saleroom.com.
To use this new service you will need to register your interest using the 'Loddon Live' link at the top of the page.
Postage & Packing
All Post & Packing is done in house, at minimal cost, and unlike many of our competitors we do not seek to make a profit on the P&P, merely to recover our costs. We routinely ship lots to successful bidders across the world.
After each auction our in-house staff combine the Lot(s) for each winning bidder and calculate the postage charges, which are shown separately on the invoice before being sent to you. We normally use Royal Mail and Parcelforce for our deliveries. We always combine Postage where possible.
We are happy to work with you should you wish to use your own courier.
We are aware that for certain locations, and/or package sizes, there may be other delivery services available which may be more suitable; should you wish to arrange for your own courier then you may like to try Mail Boxes etc., details as below:
