The Tony Warr Collection

The Tony Warr Postcard and Ephemera Collection

We are pleased to announce that we have been commissioned to auction the Postcard and Ephemera collections of the late Tony Warr.

Tony was born in Bristol UK in 1941, in his early teens he was encouraged to start a collection of something that interested him by a neighbour who owned an Antiques Shop.
In these early years Tony took an interest in old postcards and collected many whilst visiting various towns and cities throughout the country, this developed in to his main hobby that lasted a lifetime.
When made redundant in the early 1980's, Tony made the decision to concentrate on building and developing his collection by attending Postcard fairs etc. He had a keen interest with Raphael Tuck and their history of postcards and ephemera, and he became somewhat of an expert of their products and was credited with participating in the Tuck Database. He also produced a small catalogue of postcards with another enthusiast.

Sadly, Tony died unexpectedly in 2017, leaving his lifetime's considerable collection to be catalogued and auctioned...

We are pleased to announce that we now have copies of the

2018/19 Murray's Card Values available for sale

priced at £10 per copy, plus P&P.

Please give us a ring to get your copy
